DIY: Mermaid Toast

It’s the beginning of summer! That means long sunny days, adventures and yummy treats (not that I stay away from the yummy treats the rest of the year!). What better way to start the colorful summer treats than with Mermaid Toast. It’s easy, it’s colorful, it’s slightly sweet and honestly it doesn’t have too many calories…. so it’s a WIN!

Mermaid Toast

Items you’ll need:

  • Sandwich Bread
  • Cream Cheese (I used the low fat one)
  • Blue and Green Food coloring
  • Sugar Sprinkles
  • Toaster
  • Butter Knife
  • Plate

Items Needed

First toast the sandwich bread.

Toaster

Once done to your liking, I added the toast to my plate and spread the cream cheese using the butter knife.

Cream Cheese

I then added two drops of blue food coloring and one drop of green (the middle drop on the toast).

Toast Food Coloring

Then I spread the food coloring in the same direction as the cream cheese using the butter knife.

Toast Spread

I then added the sprinkles in a diagonal (but you can decorate as you wish). I also added blue sugar sprinkles that were left over from my DIY Rainbow Churros.

And that’s it! Super easy mermaid toast. It’s definitely a snack that appeals to your tummy as well as your eye. Enjoy!
