So my lips had been incredibly dry lately. I needed to fix this problem ASAP! I have seen the pricey but incredibly positive reviewed lip scrubs at Ulta and Sephora, but thought I’d try a DIY inexpensive version instead. I am in LOVE with this version. The smell is incredible and my lips are now ready for my summer lip glosses. And best of all, most of the items are probably already in your pantry! Here are the items you’ll need:
DIY Lavendar Sugar Lip Scrub
- a small jar
- 6 tbs of white sugar (or enough to fill your size jar)
- 3 tbs of olive oil (or half of the amount of sugar you use)
- 2 drops of lavender essential oil
- 1 drop of blue food coloring
- 1 drop of red food coloring
- a bowl and spoon for mixing
I’ll guide you through with visuals:
And that’s it! Super easy, super fast sugar scrub. I used lavender because the smell reminds me of going to a luxurious spa, but this recipe is easy to customize. You can use a lemon essential oil and yellow food coloring or mint essential oil and green food coloring… the possibilities are endless.
Here is the final product in its cute jar. I just added twine around the jar for added cuteness.
So I’ve been using this scrub about two to three times a week. You just scoop up a little with your finger and scrub your lips! I wipe off the remaining sugar and I’m left with smooth moisturized lips. I hope you enjoy this easy DIY as much as I did. Let me know if you try this in the comments below. Enjoy!
